Learn a gentle self-care practice that helps you release tension, support healthy lymphatic flow, improve circulation, and reconnect with your body.

At kokoro salon, we teach the Lilynage method, a Japanese Deep Lymphatic Self-Massage through workshops, online programmes and personalised coaching in Singapore.

Created for busy women who want sustainable wellbeing—not another quick fix—our approach helps you build a simple practice that fits into everyday life.

Japanese Deep
Lymphatic Self-Massage

Why Lymphatic Self-Massage?

Your body is designed to move.

Every breath, every step, and every muscle contraction helps support healthy circulation and the movement of lymphatic fluid throughout your body.

Modern life, however, often looks very different.

Long hours at a desk, chronic stress, poor posture, limited movement, and muscle tension can all contribute to feeling stiff, heavy or puffy. While these sensations can have many causes, many people find that gentle movement and self-massage help them feel lighter, more comfortable and more connected to their bodies.

Deep Lymphatic Self-Massage is a simple practice that combines intentional touch, breathing and mindful movement to support your body's natural rhythms.

Rather than relying on occasional treatments, you'll learn practical techniques you can use at home whenever your body needs a reset.

What Is the Lymphatic System?

The lymphatic system is part of your body's circulatory and immune systems.

It is made up of a network of vessels, lymph nodes and organs that help maintain fluid balance, transport immune cells and support normal immune function.

Unlike your heart, which pumps blood continuously, the lymphatic system relies on movement.

Breathing, walking, muscle contractions and gentle body movement all help encourage lymphatic flow.

That's why everyday habits—including hydration, movement, posture and self-massage—can play an important role in supporting how your body feels.

What Makes the Lilynage method of Japanese Deep Lymphatic Self-Massage Different?

Many people are familiar with receiving massage.

Our philosophy is different.

Instead of depending on someone else to "fix" your body, we teach you how to understand and care for your own.

The Lilynage method of Japanese Deep Lymphatic Self-Massage combines:

  • Gentle yet intentional self-massage techniques

  • Awareness of areas where tension commonly accumulates

  • Breath-guided movement

  • Simple daily rituals that are easy to maintain

  • A whole-person approach that considers posture, movement, lifestyle and emotional wellbeing

The goal isn't perfection.

It's helping you build a lifelong relationship with your body.

Getting in touch with ourselves

Gaining Awareness of the Body

Gaining Awareness of our Heart and Mind

Cherishing and Celebrating

Relaxing and Releasing

1. Getting in touch with ourselves
(ふれる)

Through the use of our own hands, we get it touch with our bodies.

We gain awareness of ourselves and our current physical state of being.

Our bodies are the greatest teachers of what has led to our bodies current condition.

It is the first step to facing ourselves, and being present with who we are at this point in time.

2. Awareness of Body
(気づく・カラダ)

With awareness comes realisations about your body.

Using our sense of touch, massaging along the edges of our bones to stimulate the Deep Lymphatic System and streamline the body, we are able to come back to get in touch with our selves. Through learning about our bodies (areas of tension, areas of weight gain) we learn to reflect on our daily habits and practices that have contributed to our body’s condition thus far and in doing so, make changes for the better.

3. Awareness of the Heart and Mind
(気づく・ココロ)

As you gain an awareness of your current emotional state, you learn to reflect on the path that you have walked thus far in your life. Learning to accept that who you are now is a result of the accumulation of all your experiences in life. It is a chance to see again with fresh eyes, the happiness in your life that is already present.

4. Cherishing and Celebrating
(愛でる)

As you come to terms with yourself and the life you have led so far, a natural sense of gratitude to yourself starts to develop. Through this method of massaging and relaxing our heart, mind and body, you learn to love yourself deeper, cherishing and celebrating the person you have become. And in turn, you learn to love and treasure others more deeply.

5. Relaxing and Releasing
(ゆるむ)

With a renewed sense of love for yourself, you are able to move forward to your next stage of life.

Letting go of the things that have caused you tension in your body and mind, you create space in your life for new things to come. You are ready to take a step forward with a new sense of lightness, towards a future of your dreams.

Who Is It For?

This practice may be especially helpful if you:

  • Spend long hours sitting at a desk

  • Frequently experience neck, shoulder or jaw tension

  • Wake up feeling puffy

  • Feel like your body carries stress and tightness

  • Want a sustainable self-care routine you can practise at home

  • Prefer learning skills that help you care for yourself between treatments

Whether you're completely new to self-massage or already enjoy wellness practices like yoga or Pilates, the techniques are designed to be accessible and adaptable.

What You May Notice

Everyone's experience is different, but many participants share that they notice:

  • A greater sense of relaxation

  • Reduced feelings of facial or body puffiness

  • Improved awareness of posture and tension patterns

  • Easier movement through the neck and shoulders

  • Feeling lighter and more energised after practising

  • Greater confidence in caring for their own wellbeing

These experiences vary from person to person and should not be considered guaranteed outcomes.

A natural method of creating
our most beautiful selves

ココロとカラダに触れ、気づき、愛でて、ゆるんでいく

For myself personally, through practising the Lilynage® method of self-massage, I have gained:

A greater acceptance of myself and where I am in my life right now.

Gratitude towards my body, through recognising how my body is an accumulation of all that I have experienced in my life and learning to be thankful towards my body every single day.

Relief of muscle tension, with less aches and pains.

It’s given me a whole new understanding to my body, my muscles, what patterns I have. An awareness of my thought and movement patterns. And most important, the ability to make changes in my life to change how I feel for the better.

It has helped me to gain a newfound confidence and optimism towards my life. And has helped me to develop a greater sense of love, gentleness, compassion and kindness towards myself and others.

These are changes that I’ve learnt to incorporate to my life over time, bit by bit, every day, and that’s the beauty of habit and small steps accumulated over a period of time.

As Singapore’s first Certified Lilynage®︎ Instructor, I can’t wait to share more about this beautiful method with you.
